Been Busy...plus layouts completed.

Well what a week...or should I say fortnight...  Three birthdays in this house over 14 days, enough to send a woman insane...especially when the last one is your own!  Oh and add a wedding anniversary in the middle!!!  12 years...can't believe that it has been 12 years.

We have been extremely busy on this house - the deck is almost completed got it's second coat of oil this evening one more to go.  Hubby is creating stairs and next a ramp so it can be used with wheelchairs if need be.  Plus our eldest daughter is getting ready for her first ever full blown artisitc rollerskating competition which is going to be Huge!!!!

Anyway I have completed two layouts I wish to share with you...
One is for http://blackwith2challenge.blogspot.com.au which I never thought I would do as it was way to much of a challenge and too dark in colour for me but I gave it a go, was Dominant Black with Sunset Orange & Tropical waters with allowed 5% white - with this as my ending result!!!

I used Heidi Swapp papers, distress papers, colour magic paper and colour shine - LOVE that colour shine... Made my own blue hearts with texture paste and blur spritz,  I also made my own tag as seen below.

This layout is another one completed for my hubbies younger years.

My favourite competition blog just to challenge myself http://whitewith1.blogspot.com.au - well this month was White + Pastels + Masking...

Our youngest daughter when she was only 6 months old, when I completed the page hubby asked if it was our eldest daughter, they look so similar it is very hard to tell them apart.  Clothing is the only thing if the photos get mixed up that tells them apart.  I enjoyed this layout but I tell you what did I struggle with the placement of those hexagons, yet in the end they worked and it looks so lovely!

Thankyou once again for coming to my blog - leave me a message as I would love to know what you think.  Until next time have fun creating!!!

The long journey which finds us here now...

Finally I made it back to here...
Grab a cuppa, get settled in, I fear this will be a long post - like a real LONG post...

It has been a long journey - our house sold in Western Australia our destination to a suburb away with a renovation was changed to a 4500 kilometre move to Queensland.  We were planning to stay in WA till christmas but one phone call meant God had other plans and we were to come home.  One main reason for the move home was to be closer to our family - we missed our loved ones dearly and after seven years away it still seems unreal, we are so used to feeling isolated from our family and friends to now being home and knowing they are there and when we need them they know just what to do.

Well we packed up a Prime-mover and trailer that my lovely big brother drove all the way across to get us, my father in-law flew over to help drive my car home which was very much appreciated!  We had the Prime Mover loaded with the work trailer and most of the furniture etc into a taut liner.
Myself & my father in-law our two daughters and the cockatiel in my car.  My hubby was driving our 4wd fully loaded with a trailer on behind carrying another car fully packed plus a motorbike and my mum was driving her ute with two kittens in plus trailer attached and all fully packed as well...

The Nullabour where you can lie down on the road and wait for traffic to come along (this is a long LONG straight stretch = seeing cars coming from literally miles away)... Uncle and Niece taking a much deserved break.

What a drive.  What a move.  I hate that long drive across the Nullabour.
Breakdowns along the way but we made it...

House buying!!!!  I was given 4 days to find a house and 2 weeks max to settle - well with that challenge in mind off hubby, the girls and I went...Two days later we found a house and moved in two weeks later - can you say RENOVATION!!!  Well that is when you can find the house...

A day off - we went as a family to our favourite place Australia Zoo!  Terri, Bindi & Bob were there for the school holidays - how can I say "no" when our eldest daughter looks up to Bindi and always has, plus we love all creatures.  Wonderful day!
If you ever get to come to Qld make this a must see attraction it is just beautiful!

Okay time to share all the pages that I have completed before and after this huge move...  Firstly an assortment of pages - kits with instructions from http://scrappychatdesigns.blogspot.com.au by the Beautiful Beck...(U know Beck I think your Awesome).  Some of these pages I played to suite me as I have girls and Beck has boys...lol...  So here goes the pages I have completed from her so far...

The first kit just caught my eye...!  I created two pages from my husband's photos from when he was a young man.

Heading needed!  Still working on that...

The next kit was "Friends for Life" by Renee Aslette these pages just suited more of my hubby's photos.

The April Kit release I created again two pages from this kit putting my own spin on it with the pink on both layouts...

May kit saw me being introduced to Gelato's - a new product which I have some mixed feelings about but then I need to play again and see what else I can do... what can I say it's new.  As with all things I changed these layouts to suit me but isn't that what scrapbooking is about?

I have June kit to do and I am awaiting the July kit to turn up in my letterbox - Happy girl I am.

Lastly Beck this one is for you...Thankyou it turned out beautiful!!!!!

Now for what I have been working on mostly from the moment I unpacked my scrapbooking stash which is in plastic bins under the outdoor table in our lounge room...Small House!

Our eldest daughter when she was two before we moved west...with her aunty.

Working on some of our youngest daughters photos in her albums at the moment;

Her first bath at home...

I spy Heidi Swapp papers...lol

I just completed this page last weekend and used lots of Heidi Swapp papers, stickers, hearts, mists and fussy cutting those circles from her paper...Loving the end result!!!!

Love this colour range of Heidi Swapp papers...Yummo.

Yes more Heidi Swapp mistable papers - just love that I can create to suite me.

Heidi Swapp destination papers actually suited this photo - couldn't figure out what to do with this paper and it just worked.

Okay so I am not one for bragging, but I thought I would share some pages that won a challenge or two or three...
Firstly November 2012 this page was in the winners list for http://whitewith1.blogspot.com.au Greens & Chevron...

Also February 2013 this little beauty won the sketch challenge at http://www.scrapbooksuppliesonline.com.au for that month...woohoo

I just found out last night that this page was in the winners list on http://whitewith1.blogspot.com.au
for April...WOW that was a little of a shock I can tell you as I only showed this page to my mother in-law the week before.  My in-laws got to meet their newest granddaughter for the first time in these photos.

That is my braggity brag over... I hope I haven't bored you to death!!!
I will leave you with a taste of what I am working on and what I will show once all finished and yes it is a Heidi Swapp memory file my second ever that I am creating - Love these files going to use them for holidays, trips and some special events!
So until next blog which I assure you will be shorter - Enjoy Life, enjoy your family and find the positive in everything, everyday!

Oh I get to share before moving!!!!

I can offically share with you now some of the pages that I have completed for my In-Laws wedding album...So glad that they like it!!!!  So here it is...(lots of photos so be warned!)

All pages devoid of any writing as I am sure mum and dad can add that themselves...in otherwords personalise it.
Get me to the Church on Time

Simple but elegant - Spellbinders made to look like lace.

The Kiss

Another simple page but somehow it worked

Used some lace and added banners.

 Our Wedding
That is all I have to share from the album - really the pages I like the best but I know mum and dad like them all!!!

Lastly I will share my mother-in-laws favourite photo from her wedding day all those years ago.  So I blew it up to a 5x7 and put it inside the back of a 12x12 canvas and started playing from there, stamping flowers making plastic flowers.    I love how this worked out for my first ever canvas OTP!

Lastly I would like to share a OTP that I made for my grandy parents...Just a bit of fun. As you can guess our family all live on the otherside of Australia so it is nice for them to see a little more.  I had fun with glimmermist's and color shine.

A little cascade of photos.

Sideways cascade and pockets

Stamping with a sideways cascade this time showing first to last photo!

Showing you just a selection of pages from the booklet.  I loved doing this!!!!

So that is it until I log in over on the otherside of Australia when we find our new home as we have not bought one and are not sure where we are going!!!  LOL - life was meant to be an adventure.

Stay safe, enjoy papercraft and your families no matter how faraway they are!

The News!!!!

I have been dying to tell you my news We are packing our house which is sold and we are moving in two weeks 4500km's from Bunbury Western Australia home to our families in Queensland on the South East Coast which means in the long run that I will not be blogging for a little while...But I will be back.  Before I hang up my scrappy apron for a little while I want to share with you the last three pages that I have completed...

So I was playing with Pink Paislee resist paper & heidi swapp as usual...Here is what I came up with.  Not sure that I am overly happy with this but it is done - I still think I can play some more - I love this photo!!!

The next two layouts are from a lovely lady from here http://beckbt.blogspot.com.au where you can buy kits with videos and instuctions and create her layouts,  I just added a little pink to both to customize them to suite my needs.  What you seen below are all her ideas but the pink flowers and details are pretty much me just adding a little extra.  The first layout needs a heading and journalling but since we are moving it is boxed so when we get a house I will be able to finish if I can find the time!

This layout is basically finished except for journalling.

I will leave you with my news that we are moving home and will get back on here all being well after I create some more layouts on the otherside of Australia.  Happy Scrapping and treasure every moment you have and the ones you love!
